I watched all the four videos and I even can't say which one I liked most. I should say that all the four speakers are not only good motivating speakers but also perfect coaches because I got some good pieces of advice and some info to think over. They all did a huge amount of work to gain a full contact with the audience and, personally I was impressed by their power of persuasion. carolsmile
The art of public speaking is a topical phenomenon in our society. I paid attention to the specific techniques the speakers used, which made the audience really involved: the repetition of the key expressions by the first speaker, interaction with the audience by the fourth speaker ( asking them to repeat some voice warming techniques after him), face expression (expressive look, determined voice, etc.). I agree with the first speaker's statement that teaching education vey often gives us only theory and does not provide us with the techniques of engaging the audience and getting feedback from the audience, as well. As teachers, we can give each of our students an opportunity of sounding convincing and confident, by involving every student in the process of productive communication in the lessons, by creating such situations of possible success which could help students to feel needed and important interlocutors.
Thank you for such usefull videos!!!) I was really impressed by the video about time management!!! It is all about me.I've always wondered how to find the time for everything imporant in my life. I wish I could spend more time with my family, go to the gym...I'II definitely watch this video one more time and follow the advice!!!)))
L. V. Korzhel Thanks for videos. I enjoyed the art of public speaking very much. The humour and self-irony were light and great, the pauses were expressive. I learnt a lot of useful things how to attract and encourage the audience. I want to watch and listen to the speakers again and again. In some way they inspire and improve everybody's mood!
I can't agree more that the art of public speaking and engaging the audience can be taught and it does play a crucial role in making classes alive. The way the speakers address to the listeners, their eye-catching gestures, voice control, repeating the most essential words or phrases, their posture, eye contact with those who are sitting close to the stage remind of stand up comedy shows. At times teachers need to serve as actors or even stand up comics and cheer up the students so as to keep them involved and interested!
I cannot say I like all the speakers though I must admit their language and presentations are great. The best in my view is Rita Pierson. Having spent most of her working life in the classroom teaching kids, she gives tips on how to manage the class, how to keep children interested, how to prevent and bettermanage conflicts. I can't but agree with her statement "Teaching and learning should bring joy!" I would add here "satisfaction". That's how I regard the process of education. All the speakers hold their audience's attention. They possess wonderful speaking skills, a good sense of humour. They share the examples from their experience. It helps to create friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you for sharing such informative videos with us. I`ve enjoyed them all, especially about how to find time for the most important things in our lives. The expert offers several practical strategies to help us find time for what is really important to us, to build the life we want in the time we have. Another expert demonstrates the tools of powerful speech: from practical vocal exercises to tips on how to speak with empathy. It's a performance that can help everyone sound more beautiful and confident.
A Teacher of Foreign Languages proved to be an efficient, creative, enthusiastic, attentive, skilled and strong communicator that can help the students build their skills and confidence levels. In order to fulfill the tasksband to collaborate effectively, we should be able to fill various roles in teaching with the help of creativity. And also to be opened to learn from the students and other educators, because we all have different backgrounds and experience and besides it is a great way to share knowledge with others to widen our horizons.
Thank you very much for the opportunity to watch these videos. Which are worth reviewing several times, as each time you will find the words and advice you need. I really liked the speeches of the first and second speaker. In fact, they teach us theory, but practice and skill, how to get attention - No. From the video of the first speaker, I would like to note his manner of communication, metaphors, pauses, jokes and many other techniques that attract attention and want to watch and listen. The feeling was as if I was not at the training, but at the stand-up, so easily listened to and perceived. I would also like to note that now time plays an important role and it is very important to plan everything correctly, and there will always be time for your priorities. You can not exclude the power of the word, not for nothing say "A word spoken is past recalling", here you can list endlessly... but I want to thank you again for the provided videos for viewing
