Beatles
Day is celebrated worldwide on 16 January. Legendary group The Beatles was
approved by UNESCO on this day in 2001.
The
Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool
in 1960, who became one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed
acts in the history of popular music. From 1962 until their breakup in 1970,
the group consisted of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney
(bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr
(drums, vocals).
Rooted in
skiffle and 1950s rock and roll, the group later worked in many genres ranging
from folk rock to psychedelic pop, often incorporating classical and other
elements in innovative ways. The nature of their enormous popularity, which
first emerged as the "Beatlemania" fad, transformed as their
songwriting grew in sophistication. The group came to be perceived as the
embodiment of progressive ideals, seeing their influence extend into the social
and cultural revolutions of the 1960s.
The
Beatles were undoubtedly the most influential band of the century. In a course
of 8 years, they changed not only rock and roll, but also the face of all music
forever.
This day,
fans around the world are organizing many events dedicated to the legendary
band.

ОтветитьУдалитьSince the early fifties pop music has been the enthusiasm and the entertainment of the young, but recently it has joined forces with beat and protest songs to express more than romantic yearnings: it has become an outlet for discontent, disillusionment, for hopes and social protest. With the emergence of the Beatles in the early 1960s, a a new style began to make itself heard.
The Beatles is a band which was created in the right time in the right place! All the members of this group brought something new in the world of music. Their songs such as "Yesterday" and "Yellow submarine" became a musical anthem for millions of their fans.

To my mind every person is grateful to them for their new style and direction of music and hope that someday we will listen to the songs which are worthy the Beatles.
To my mind, music is one of the most important things in our lives. People started singing and playing different musical instruments a long time ago. But if to talk about the modern music, where and when did it take its start? From my personal point of view, it appeared in the 40s-50s in the USA. And later it was spread to Europe, that had been destroyed during the Second World War and had nothing in the cultural sphere. As a result, musical sphere started its development not only in the USA. In the 60s, it reached its peak and the main reason for that was that many musical bands started to appear in the UK. Of course, The Beatles was the most famous musical band from Britain that was known all over the world. They have become a legend. My personal opinion is that their contribution in music can be compared with the contributions that were made by Leonardo Da Vinci in the sphere of art and by William Shakespeare in the sphere of literature. Their songs are simple and deep at the same time. The Beatles will never be forgotten because their music can be understood almost by everyone. Their voices and their music will be alive in their fan’s hearts forever.
