The Day to Remember
April 26, 1986 was the date
of the worst nuclear accident in the history of the world. The effects have
been long lasting...Huge areas of barren land, hundreds of abandoned buildings,
and worst of all long lasting birth defects… The
Belarusian virtual museum on the Chernobyl disaster was open on 26 April to
mark the 30th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power
station. The goal of the project is to preserve the memory about the Chernobyl
catastrophe. The museum is divided into three virtual halls: the accident, the
mitigation of consequences, and the revival. Visitors will have an opportunity
to get familiar with a unique collection of documentary photographs. The museum
will tell about various stages of the tragic event and a present-day look at
the Chernobyl legacy of Belarus. Why should we remember Chernobyl disaster?
Even today, 30 years after the tragedy, we should remember Chernobyl disaster. But why is it so important? Let’s think about it.
ОтветитьУдалитьFirst of all, Chernobyl disaster took lifes of many people living in its origin. Tragical accident also caused death of hundreds of people, whose health was badly influenced by the radiation. The biggest part of rescuers also were hurt by the radiation and died shortly.
The second point is that today the question of nuclear stations building is rather important. As the new nuclear electric station is being built in Belarus now, we should remember about the danger of this process and take precaution measures to avoid accidents in future.
Why should we remember Chernobyl disaster? Why should we remember our terrible past if we are moving towards wonderful future, full of joy and prospects? The answer is simple:there is no future without the past. To avoid repeating mistakes we should remember the consequences of them.
ОтветитьУдалитьChernobyl tragedy took lives of thousands of people and caused long lasting birth defects of those, who managed to survive. Large areas, spoilt by the radiation, are unsuitable for planting and living even now...
The world will hardly ever recover from the Chernobyl catastrophe.
That's why today the most important point in projecting and building new stations, machines and factories should be SAFETY. Unfortunately, nowadays people prefer saving their money, not saving our planet.
The Belarusian virtual museum on the Chernobyl disaster gives people an opportunity people to "dive" into this atmosphere and to observe all irreversible consequences such tragedies can lead to. And I hope it will influence peolple's choice and change their attitude to this tragedy.
Why should we remember Chernobyl disaster?
ОтветитьУдалитьTo my mind, this tragedy couldn't have happened, but because of the irresponsibility of some people, the consequences will pursue us more than 4 billion years(scientifically proved fact). So first of all we should remember about Chernobyl because the tragedy happened because of elementary things such as not taken precautionary measures and irresponsibility.
Then, the consequences, which are still with us, are really frightening. It is abnormally that there are so many people have such diseases as cancer. Our nature has also suffered in huge degrees, fertility of soils was reduced in several times and animals have ceased to give a healthy and pure product. That is one more reason why we should remember about Chernobyl tragedy.
So, making such project as a museum is really reasonable and original idea, it will influence people in a psychological way, which is much stronger than just telling some stories.
Why we should remember about Chernobyl disaster?
ОтветитьУдалитьThis is the question that should be asked today.from my point of view we must remember about this accident ,happened 30 years ago,to create intangible monument dedicated to people, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of eliminating the consequences of this catastrophe .hundreds of people died in struggle for our future from radiation ,numerous suffered from diseases such as cancer during next decades .nature of our country also suffered a lot:hundreds of acres became inaccessible for living or producing foods ,biological mutations appeared on polluted territories.this is a tragic lesson for human civilization .
Also nowadays the question of providing security at nuclear power plants is more actual than ever :one is building near Astravets in Grodno region.that is the reason why we should remember about mistakes of past years and do everything we can to to avoid repeat of the Chernobyl disaster .

To my mind this disaster is one of the most terrible actions that have ever taken place in our world. We can see its effects every which way and it it the most horrible thing. An uncountable number of died babies , animals and humans with 3 legs or 12 fingers, women who can't be pregnant , cancer - all these problems are actual nowadays. This disaster has an effect of a time bomb. There is no telling how many tears were shared, how many fates were destroyed and how many people died.
But let's switch to the main question. So why should we remember ? I think it is better to say "we ought to remember", because it teaches us that everything can happen when it is least expected , sometimes nothing depends on us and just a one act of a one man can cross out everything.
Nothing can be passed without a trace and the situation with Chernobyl proves it again.
